Dmitry Taranyk is a counsel at the firm focusing on antitrust and competition. He practices corporate law, M&A, foreign investments, and privatisation.

Mr. Taranyk regularly advises clients on a wide variety of antitrust law aspects, involving merger control, concerted practices, abuse of dominance, monopolization, and unfair competition. He also counsels on antitrust matters in relation to multinational and domestic acquisitions and joint ventures, including merger clearance with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

Dmitry Taranyk is experienced in resolving complex antitrust disputes against multinational companies, especially charged with abuse of dominant market position, and engaged in developing antitrust compliance programs and policies for many international clients.

Mr. Taranyk has been involved in a number of high profile cases, involving obtaining competition clearance for numerous mergers and acquisitions by banks and companies in the agricultural, electricity, food processing, insurance and shipbuilding industries, including most recently for Arcapita Bank, First Data Corporation, Generali, Japan Tobacco, LBO France, Monsanto, Severstal, Societe Generale, Philips, and Thyssenkrupp.
