We welcome applications from qualified lawyers and professional support staff throughout the year. Our recruitment process is straightforward and usually involves a problem solving and English proficiency test followed by interviews with the HR Department and one of the partners. We do not use psychometric testing and we try to avoid form filling processes. Our interviews are informal and relaxed conversations intended to allow you to perform to the best of your ability and ask any questions.

Litigation associate

JOB DUTIES:

  • Representing clients in courts of all jurisdictions (civil, commercial, administrative) or before government agencies including before law enforcement agencies;
  • Experience in resolution of corporate disputes;
  • Experience in bankruptcy procedures;
  • Drafting various legal documents, briefs and opinions;
  • Negotiating settlements;
  • Advising clients concerning business transactions, liability claims, prospects of litigation;
  • Collection of evidence in order to commence a lawsuits or prepare a defense;

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Outstanding academic credentials from a top Ukrainian law school;
  • LLM or similar degree from US or UK law school is an advantage;
  • 3+ years of work experience as litigation attorney in a law firm or in-house lawyer in a large company or a bank;
  • Experience in conducting and managing litigation confidently with limited supervision;
  • Solid understanding and awareness of litigation procedures;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Strong analytical, legal writing and research skills;
  • Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian is a must;

  • Ability to grasp quickly and accurately new and complex concepts and areas of law;
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team;
  • Ability to balance priorities and co-ordinate work effectively in order to meet deadlines and deal with high workloads;

Intern/Trainee for Corporate Law Practice

  • Outstanding academic credentials from a top Ukrainian law school, diploma of the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Kharkiv National Yaroslav Mudry University and Kyiv National Vadym Hetman Economic University could be an additional advantage;
  • Specific interest in and/or sound theoretical knowledge of labor/employment law is welcome;
  • Perfect command of Ukrainian and Russian, advanced command of English (we encourage to apply those candidates who believe that they have remarkable skills even if the level of their English language proficiency is lower than expected);

2) Test assignments at our office (April-May);

3) Interview with Head of HR Department and with the Counsel of Corporate Law Practice (May);

The duration of the internship is two or three months on summer holidays.
